Project Awarded | "Missouri Primary Care Association" | Structural Engineered Bamboo | Structural Frame & Glass Systems

October 1st, 2024

ReNüTeq has been awarded a regional showcase project by Roy Blunt Center of Healthcare Integration & Innovation in Jefferson City, Missouri, the future home of the Missouri Primary Care Association (MPCA) and Missouri Behavioral Health Council (MBHC).

December of 2025: Projected Completion

Architect: Arcturis

Structural Engineer: KPFF Engineers

Arcturis designed this transformative project taking cues from the surrounding site to inspire the architecture, which features a SEB (Structural Engineered Bamboo) central connector, entry canopies, Hybrid SEB Storefront Glass systems, and ample access to daylight and views.

Stephen Kesel, Arcturis Lead Architect

“As architects, we are constantly looking for ways to decarbonize our buildings, and we see ReNüTeq’s Glaz Series - Hybrid Curtain Wall Systems & Structural Beams and Columns as an excellent way to achieve these goals. By utilizing SEB (Structural Engineered Bamboo), we not only tap into a resource that sequesters carbon during its growth but also contribute to the decarbonization of our built environment by reducing the aluminum and steel required in traditional curtain wall systems.

For the Missouri Primary Care Association - Center of Excellence project, we were guided by the principles of Trauma-Informed Design, which are particularly relevant given the healthcare affiliation of the building’s occupants. We prioritized natural light, calming neutral spaces, and the use of natural materials. The Hybrid Curtain Wall System was a large part of our strategy towards creating a serene, warm, nature-inspired environment that promotes a holistic connection between the interior and the site’s natural qualities” ~ Quote: Stephen Kesel, Arcturis Lead Architect on the Project
